Our partner, the Center for Parenting Artists (CPA) , a not-for-profit organization dedicated to encouraging and sharing resources for artists and creative professionals with children was honored to participate in The Let Down Reflex. The art exhibition was curated by Amber Berson and Juliana Driever at the Blackwood Gallery, University of Toronto Mississauga.

Working with the Blackwood Gallery and the University of Toronto Family Care Office, they created a call for submissions of family-friendly spaces from the University of Toronto Mississauga community. The crowdsourced responses were used to inform a study of infographics to guide parents and children towards family-oriented spaces on campus.

This project created a means for community-driven engagement with the spaces that families frequent at the university. The narratives received from the community were translated into visual language incorporated into a Map of Family Spaces on Campus and signage, to help orient parents to the recommended spaces and resources available to them and their kids.
