The GSAPP Incubator is a program for recent alumni to explore interdisciplinary projects and research at the intersection of culture, technology and the city. Located in downtown Manhattan at the center of the creative and technology scene at the New Museum, the Incubator was an anchor tenant of NEW INC., the first museum-led cultural incubator for art, technology, and design.
Co-founders Cevan Castle and Annie Chen presented their work alongside fellow members of the Incubator during the fall and spring sessions. Their research included topics such as the changing nature of work and the growing freelancer economy for creative professionals in cities. With the rise of new work environments such as co-working spaces, how do we make these places accessible for different groups of people?
